- Pads: thickness and even wear, front and rear.
- Discs: measured against the minimum thickness, and checked for scoring and lips.
- Calipers and slide pins: free to move, not sticking or leaking.
- Hoses and pipes: no leaks, cracks or corrosion.
- Brake fluid: level and condition.
- Handbrake: holds properly, cable or electronic.
We show you what we find and give you a price for each axle before any work starts. New pads and discs are fitted as a pair across the axle, the slides are cleaned and greased, and the car is road tested before you collect it. Brake work is often done the same day.

How do I know if my brakes need replacing?
Common signs are squealing or grinding, a soft or long pedal, the car pulling to one side, a brake warning light, or a juddering steering wheel when braking.
Do you always replace discs with pads?
No. We measure the discs and only recommend new ones if they are worn below the limit or damaged. You get a price before any work starts.
Is the brake check free?
Yes. If you are not sure what you need, we will check your brakes and tell you honestly.
How long does a brake job take?
Most pad and disc replacements are done the same day.
