What happens
How our diagnostic check works
- Read the codes. We plug in and read the fault codes from the engine and other systems such as ABS and airbags.
- Find the cause. A fault code points to an area, not always a part. We test the parts and wiring involved so you do not pay for parts you did not need.
- Explain it. We tell you in plain English what is wrong and how urgent it is.
- Price the fix. You get a price for the repair before any work is done.
A diagnostic check is £78. Common reasons to book one are an engine management light, a car in limp mode, a DPF or glow plug light, ABS or airbag warnings, or a fault that comes and goes.

What does a diagnostic check include?
We read the fault codes with dealer-level tools, test the parts involved and tell you in plain English what is wrong and what it will cost to fix.
Is it safe to drive with the engine warning light on?
If the light is flashing, or the car feels wrong, stop and call us. A steady light usually means book a check soon.
Can you look at ABS and airbag lights too?
Yes. We read engine, ABS, airbag and other system warning lights.
